All work and materails shall be in accordance with the requirements of 2001 CBC, unless noted otherwise.
Details not shown shall be similar to those shown for respective materials and conditions.
Allowable soil bearing pressure for a dead plus live loads shall not exceed 1000psf and 1300psf for gravity combined with earthquake or wind loads.
All structural concrete used for footings shall have a minimum 28 day strength fc'=2500psi. The maximum size of aggregate shall be 1-1/2 inches. Maximum water per sack of cement shall be 7-1/2 gallons, and minimum cement per cubic yard of concrete shall be 6.0 sacks.
The reinforcing for concrete shall conform to ASTM A-615 grade 60 requirements.
All bolts used for timber connectors shall be galvanized ASTM-A307 or machine bolts.
All anchor bolts shall be ASTM-A307 or A36 steel minimum.
All nails shall be galvanized common wire nails. The minimum nailing schedule shall be as specified in Table 23II-B-1 of 2001 CBC.
All wood shall be smooth 4(sides) S4S unless otherwise noted, shall be Douglas Fir Larch #1(min) and be treated with JASCO Copper Clear Termin-8 Wood Preservative unless noted otherwise. All Llumber shall be set crown side up.
All straps, brackets, hangers shall be galvanized steel or painted with minimum coats of zinc oxide primer. All bolts shall be cadmium plated, galvanized or primed.
All construction shall be plumb and true.
All steel shall conform to ASTM A36 requirements.
All timber connectors shall be galvanized "Simpson" connectors or equal.
