The SamsGazebo.com site's layout is basically divided into four parts: the left-hand catalog navigation panel, the top-right graphical tabbed-links to other site pages, the middle-right content display section, and the bottom-right text links to other site pages.

The Left-hand catalog navigation panel

This menu links you to listings of products arranged by category.

Once you click on any of the category links on the left-hand navigation panel, you will be taken to the category page in the catalog. For example, clicking on the Gazebos link will take to you the Gazebos catalog page.

Each catalog page contains information regarding the specific category chosen, as well as images and links to sample products with pre-selected options already chosen. The Gazebos catalog page will have the Customize from scratch link, links to specific product images, and a corresponding Customize link. The Customize from scratch link takes you to the customization page, where you may select all options you want for your gazebo.

For other categories, the links are Download pricelist and View prices by finish or size. This will take you to a customize screen for the product item selected, and should work in exactly the same way as that from gazebos.

The Customization module of the site allows you to mix and match options to your needs or liking. When you click on the Update button at the bottom of the form, the page will update with your selections and the corresponding price. The Add to cart button will do just that, add this particular item to your interest list.

The Interest list works as a temporary depository for items you are interested in much like a shopping cart. But instead of paying for the items after making your choices, your selections will be indefinitely saved in a Quotes list that you can send to the site administrator at your leisure.

There are three buttons here: Update selected, Delete selected, and Save this quote.

Update selected button

When you click on an item's checkbox then press this button, you will be taken back to the customize screen, where you may change the options for this particular item.

Delete selected button

All selected items will be deleted from your cart.

Save this quote

This button saves this cart to your quotes list. This function is available only to registered users (see Registration) of the site, hence, the prompt for your email and password (see Logging In) if you had not previously logged in.

The site requires some registration for you to access its member section. The information you provide here will remain confidential and to be used for quotation purposes. Fields marked with '*' are required.

The Log-In Screen asks for your email and your password. These are set when you first register. A link is also provided for those who have not previously registered.

If you enter a wrong email/password combination, you will be provided a Forgot Password link where you specify your email address where your password will be sent.

The member home sections allows you to modify your password or contact information. It also provides access to your quotes list. You have the option to indefinitely store quote information on the site.

This process starts with customizing a gazebo or choosing any of the items in the catalog. Add this item to your interest list then click on the Save this quote button. You will be asked to log in if you have not done so. Go to your member homepage by clicking on the members text link at the bottom of the page or the Login tab at the top-right-hand side of the screen. In your home page you'll find a list of quotes at near the bottom of the screen. Click on the ID. You will then be able to see the details of the quote. Click on Send this quote to forward an email to the site administrator.
